The humble lentils are small, but mighty when it comes to promoting brain health and overall wellness. Did you know that they have been one of the earliest domesticated crops and have sustained our ancestors for 13,000 years.

They are un-arguably nutritious, filling, flavorful, and a great substitute for nutrients missing in our diet. One cup of cooked lentils can provide 24 grams of protein and is the equivalent to 80% of the daily recommended fiber intake. On top of the fiber and protein that they deliver, lentils provide a powerful boost of essential vitamins and minerals including iron, folate, and potassium.

Furthermore, vitamin B supplements have shown in research to delay the onset of depression and help to increase the effect of antidepressants when they are used at the same time.
